Iranian shooters select bronze in Asian Championships
The Iranian 10m Air Rifle Women team claimed a bronze medal at the12th Asian Shooting Championships in Doha, Qatar on Saturday.



The Iranian team consists of Elaheh Ahmadi, Narjes Emamgholinejad and Safiyeh Sahragard finished at third place with 1185 points, behind China and India with 1192 and 1187 points respectively.

Iran’s 50m Pistol Men Junior team has already won a bronze medal on Friday in the event behind China and India.

Some 757 Asian shooters are taking part in the12th Asian Shooting Championships which is hosted by the Qatar Shooting and Archery Federation (QSAF) and which offers 35 slots for the London Olympic Games.

The Championships, which has brought 31 Asian nations together, will end on January 22. This will be last chance for the Asian shooters to qualify for the global event.
