The 14th Asian Canoe Sprint Championships was held at Tehran's Azadi Sports Complex from October 13 to 16.
China stood first at the sport event, which was the continental qualification for the 2012 Summer Olympics, with a total of 19 medals; 15 gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
Iran's national team came second with a total of 13 medals; five gold, six silver, and two bronze medals.
Kazakhstan was placed third, as it won a total of 11 medals; one gold, seven silver, and three bronze medals.
Speaking after his competition, Talebian told the reporters that he is "so tired since I trained hard to win the gold. I would advance to the final round of the Olympic if the Iranian officials pave my way for trainings. If things go well I might get good results in London."
