Iran women win gold medals in Wushu competition
Iran's women Wushu athletes have won three gold medals at the 11th World Wushu Championships in Ankara, Turkey.

Following the superb performance of the Iranian athletes, Maryam Hashemiforoud captured the gold medal in the women's 65 kilogram category of the Sanda section, after defeating her Romanian rival Radovicescu Georgiana.

After remarkable victories, Shahrbanou Mansourian defeated Elif Keles from Turkey in the   women's 70 kilogram category of the Sanda section and won the gold medal.

Maliheh Fazli also overpowered Italy's Di Biase Antonia in the 75 kilogram category of the Sanda section and was awarded the gold medal.

The 11th World Wushu Competition began in Ankara, Turkey on October 9 and finished on October 14.

Some 700 Wushu practitioners from more than 83 countries took part in the competitions.
