Iran taekwondo team crowns British Open champion
The Iranian national taekwondo team has won 11 medals in the 4th British International Open and crowned champion at the important martial art event.

Iran's male and female taekwondo players won five gold, three silver, and three bronze medals in the international taekwondo champions at Manchester Regional Arena.

French and British teams stood second and third after Iran's national team.

Right before London Olympic Games, Iranian male taekwondo players delivered sharp and quick roundhouse kicks and claimed the championship of one the most important taekwondo event.

Hossein Tajik, Meysam Baqeri, and Majid Rajabi pocketed gold; Kourosh Rajoli, Hadi Mosta'an, and Behnam Bayat won silver; and Saeed Amiri, Farshad Foroughi-Kia, and Mehran Asgari gained bronze medals for the Iranian team.

Iranian female taekwondo fighters Fatemeh Rohani and Sousan Hajipour also showed their sparring strength and win two gold medals for Iran.

More than 50 taekwondo teams from England, Russia, France, Taiwan and Spain participated in this year's edition of the competitions.
