Bahram Afsharzadeh welcoming to the sport minister of Sudan accompanied by the ambassador and delegation of this country claimed that through his high recognition about the sport of Sudan in international levels such as their top runners in world competitions as the representative of Sudan in track and field who won the silver medal in Olympic pecan, made us to be proud of having friendly relationship to your country and congratulate this success to you.
The general secretary of National Olympic Committee of Iran continued that the athletes of Sudan in the other fields such as Football, Basketball, swimming and martial arts are also active and we are so pleased to have international and cultural relationships with Sudan which has the second position of such relationship among African countries for us.
The general secretary of National Olympic Committee of Iran added that Islamic Republic of Iran having the educated coaches, referees, and trainers are prepared to organize the different training courses in addition to friendly competitions and joint training camps for the athletes of both sides.
Then Majed Mohammad the sport minister of Sudan said that: Sudan has been successful in track and field in regional, continental and world levels as if, among the 196 medals achieved by Sudan athletes, 130 gold medals won by runners through last 2 years and 3 of them were qualified for Olympic 2012 London and we also hope for the other 15 runners to be qualified for Olympic 2012 London.
He also added that as we have both the ministry of sport and National Olympic Committee in Sudan, I will also advise the president of National Olympic Committee of Sudan to make a stable relationship with National Olympic Committee of Iran in sport in order to benefit from your experiences in supporting the national teams in some field of sport such as taekwondo, with its first position all over the world.
In the other hand as we are so weak in women sport and also considering the recent inauguration of women federation, definitely it is possible through coordinating between National Olympic Committee of Sudan and National Olympic Committee of Iran to benefit from your facilities, experiences and capabilities to develop the women sport of Sudan considering the enhanced performance of female athletes of Iran in international arena.
Finally the sport minister of Sudan presented in National Olympic and Paralympics Academy of Iran, visited the facilities there and requested Mehrzad Hamidi the president of National Olympic and Paralympics Academy of Iran to reinforce the mutual relationship between two parties in order to use the experiences of Iran to develop the sport of Sudan.
