NOC: According to the public relations office of the National Olympic Committee, in the meeting Rogue welcomed the Iranian vice president for attending the games in Vancouver, Canada.
Saeidlou, also, extended gratitude towards the organizers of the convention and expressed grief over the death of the Georgian athlete to Rogue. He expressed sorrow on behalf of the Iranian sports society.
He went on to expound on the latest sports developments in Iran noting that sports are in progress in the country in different sports fields both in Asia and the world.
He underlined Iranians' success in winning many medals in high ranking positions in international tournaments in different fields including wrestling, weightlifting, karate and futsal.
Saeidlou further added that "besides many innovations, Iran has established a very comprehensive sport museum and academy in recent years which I hereby invite you to attend the opening ceremony of them in Iran."
He finalized his statements saying that Iranians, equipped with high technical, scientific and cultural means, have put progress in sports on top of their agenda.
Also in the meeting, Rogue announced the committee's readiness for working hand in hand with Iran.
He further highlighted Iran's membership in the committee and stated that "because of the former Iranian representative's term in the committee ended, the post is still empty and should be decided upon."
At the end of his statements, Rogue endorsed the invitation from Iranian vice president.
