The first Iranian woman in Vancouver Olympic Games

In the XXI Olympic Games in Vancouver, besides winning four shares in the games, Iran managed to send a female athlete to the games for the first time in its history.
NOC: they games were held in the two cities of Vancouver and Whistler, Canada where Seyyed Reza Seid, Iran's representative in cross-country, could gained no better a rank in the games than 89th by a record of 42 minutes and 41 second.
Moreover, two other Iranian athletes in the games, Pouria Shemshaki and Hussein Saveh Shemshaki, were ranked 60th and 70th in men's' giant slalom.
It should be noted that Pouria Shemshaki succeeded in beating his Chinese, Tajik and Kazak rivals in his trial and became the fourth athlete in Asia.
He also skied faster than representatives from 20 other countries.
Marjan Kalhor was the first and the only Iranian woman to take part in the games. She skied in Alpine skiing field becoming the 60th skier with a record of 3 minutes and 5 seconds.
Hussein Saveh Shemshaki was the 102nd skier in men's slalom.
