Bahram Afsharzadeh: NOC fields medal hopefuls Only

According to the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), from now on, the teams sent for the games will be chosen based on their expected medal-winning capacities so that they can defend Iran's athletic status in the world.

Bahram Afsharzadeh expounded on how athletic teams are chosen for Vietnam Indoor Games. As he said, in record-based fields, athletics are chosen based on their performances they display in their fields.

Moreover, he said, in other fields, questioners are provided which will be sent to their related federations to fill in. Decisions concerning the dispatch of their athlets will be made based on the analysis of the questioners by the NOC.
