First Asian Martial Arts Games closing ceremony
The first Asian Martial Arts Games closing ceremony will take place on Sunday, August 9, at the Indoor Stadium, Hua Mark, Sports Authority of Thailand, starting at 6.0pm. After an overture by Bangkok Xylophone, two short performances will set the scene for the closing formalities.


The Chairman of the Ceremony, His Excellency Mr. Korbsak Sabhavasu, Deputy Prime Minister, is due to arrive at 6.30pm.

Other dignitaries in attendance will include: H.E. Mr. Chumpol Silapa-archa, Minister of Tourism and Sports (the Ceremonial Chairman), OCA Vice President Timothy Fok, of Hong Kong, and General Yuthasak Sasiprapha, President of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand.

After the parade of athletes and the flame has been extinguished, the ceremony will close at 7.30pm.
