In line with preparation framework for representing in the upcoming Olympic Games, Paris 2024; participating disciplines were invited for coordination and review purposes.
Iran NOC; Tehran: In the presence
of the officials of the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports
and Youth, preparatory meetings of sports federations to participate in the qualifying
competitions and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games were held with Canoeing, Climbing
and Athletics NFs. At the beginning of this meeting, Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, the
NOC President, while appreciating the efforts of the federations, stated: “The
purpose of holding these meetings is to review the latest status of the
national teams, athletes and federations to participate in many international
competitions and conducting their camps in order to get a quota for the Paris 2024
Games so that we can plan better in supporting them according to their
conditions, in which competitions and under what conditions they have a chance
to get a quota for the Olympics”. Seyed Manaf Hashemi, the NOC Secretary-General
also stated: “Without a doubt, these meetings and the talks of the officials of
the federations regarding the conditions of the national teams and how to get
the quota have brought us with the realities of the country's sports and global
competitors so that we can get the necessary support based on the existing
needs and reviewing all aspects of the work in progress”.
