The NOC Peace & Sport Commission held the second meeting with the presence of all members.
Iran NOC; Tehran: This meeting
was held with the aim of reviewing the proposed programs and discussing and
exchanging opinions about the activities, timing and the implantation of them. At
the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ghasemi, the Commission Chair, presented a
report on the measures taken and upcoming plans and policies, and according to
the emphasis of the President of the National Olympic Committee on the
commission's role in implementation projects in parallel with the advisory
role, the members were asked to pay serious attention to this issue. Each of
the members expressed their opinion about the proposed topics and programs and
also shared their suggestions. Holding specialized peace and sports meetings with
cultural, social, and legal approaches, holding a peace and sports festival for
children, proposing cooperation in holding a sports film festival, holding an
art or press festival on the subject of peace and sports, preparing and
publishing books, international peace conference and virtual sports, the
festival of best ideas for peace through sports, the National Peace Award, the
development of a peace and development coach training program, selection and
introduction of peace and sports ambassadors, and the preparation of a database
of activists and experts in the field of peace and sports were among the most
important approved programs.
