As per the announcement on behalf of the Olympic Council of Asia, the 6th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) scheduled to be held by February-March 2024 received another postponement due to involvement of Asian countries in Paris 2024 preparations.
Iran NOC; Tehran: It is stated in
the above letter that the National Olympic Committees are currently preparing
to participate in the Paris Olympic Games and funding them to participate in
the 6th Asian Indoor Games will be accompanied by difficulties, in addition,
most of the athletes are participating in preparatory camps for the Olympic
Games and this issue will be an obstacle for their presence in the sixth Asian
Indoor Games. Therefore, it was agreed that the planning for this Asian Indoor
Games will be revised and its time be postponed until after the Paris Olympic
Games, and the indoor games organizing committee will have enough time to get
more prepared to host the games.
