The Iranian National Taekwondo team won against Australia in the final game of the World Cup and held the championship title.
Iran NOC; Tehran: During the
World Cup competitions hosted by South Korea in the "Knitex" hall in
Goyang, with the presence of 96 taekwondo athletes; the Iranian men's national
team won against Australia in the finals with the combination of Mirhashem
Hosseini, Amir Mohammad Bakhshi and Abolfazl Abbasi in 2 rounds and became the
champion. The national team defeated South Korea by a 2-1 lead in the first
match and then advanced to the final by 2-0 win in the fight against Brazil. 8
teams from Australia, Ivory Coast, Morocco, South Korea, Brazil, Iran, China
and Mexico participated in the men's division of this World Cup.
