Iran NOC; Tehran: In the continuation of the Hangzhou Asian Games, the mountain bike race started in the early hours of the morning. Iranian cyclist Faranak Partoazar participated in this competition where she had a tough and close competition with 7 other cyclists. In this difficult and attractive race, Chinese cyclists were ahead of the others due to the familiarity with the route and of course the hosting privilege from the beginning to reserve the gold and silver medals. In the end, the Chinese Lee won the gold medal by 1 hour, 30 minutes and 59 seconds, and Ma won the silver medal with a difference of 5 minutes and 46 seconds.

For the third place and to win the bronze medal, a breathtaking and close competition was held between Partoazar and Alina from Kazakhstan, and at the end of the 4 rounds of intense competition, the Iranian sprinter girl was able to beat her Kazakh rival, who was ranked 1st in the competition, with a difference of 11 minutes and 45 seconds to win the valuable bronze medal and pin her name in history.

Her medal is the first in the history of Iranian Women’s Cycling in the Asian Games.
