The World Wrestling championship was held in Belgrade, Serbia, and in the end, the Iranian team won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals and became the runner-up.
Iran NOC; Tehran: At the end of
these competitions, the Iranian team won the gold medal by Amin Mirzazadeh in
130 kg, Alireza Mohmedi in 82 kg weight won silver medal, Pooya Dadmarz in 55
kg weight and Mohammad Reza Geraei in 67 kg weight and Mohammad Hadi Saravi in
97 kg weight achieved the bronze medal. In the team rankings, Azerbaijan won
the championship with 120 points, the Iranian team won the runner-up title with
102 points, and the Turkish team won the third place with 93 points. Also; in
last year's competitions, the Iranian team was fourth by winning 2 silver
medals and 1 bronze medal, and this year it was able to win the runner-up title
along with 4 Paris 2024 Olympic quotas in 130kg, 97kg, 60kg and 67kg.
