Dr. Seyed Manaf Hasehmi, the NOC Secretary-General and Spokesperson of the Olympic Committee announced that Mohsen Beiranvand has been appointed as the Acting Director of National Teams Monitoring Center.
Iran NOC; Tehran: Regarding this
appointment, Dr. Hashemi said: “After the resignation of Peyman Fakhri as the
former Director of the Center and the establishment of a new executive team in
the National Olympic Committee, the selection of a manager and a responsible
person for this technical department centered on the NOC President and myself and
was put on the agenda to review the conditions and also suggestions from the Executive
Board and the sports community to find a suitable option”. The Secretary
General of the National Olympic Committee continued: “In this regard, many
managers, champions and individuals were introduced by the EB members to the NOC
President. After examining their records and conditions; finally, the President
of the National Olympic Committee decided to choose Mohsen Birandvand, one of
the educated sports champions, who has the experience of being the Secretary General
of the Weightlifting Federation and a holder of physical education higher
education degree, as the Acting Director of this center”.
“Biranvand's letter of
appointment will be issued first as the Acting Director of the National Teams
Monitoring Center until after the review of his performance and his
relationship with the federations and the feedback that reaches the NOC; then,
he will be appointed by the Executive Board as the Director”.
