The Iranian National Women’s Volleyball team made a historical moment by winning the silver medal in Konya 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games, after 56 years of no podium.

of the Islamic Solidarity Games was followed up with two matches, during which,
Iranian National Women’s Volleyball faced the host Turkey and lost with a score
of 3-0.
This game ended in three sets
with the results of 25-16, 25-14 and 25-15 in favor of Turkish volleyball. Iranian girls had won their other two
matches against the teams of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The last medal of the Iranian
National Women’s Volleyball in official competitions was the bronze medal in
the 1966 Asian Games, and the next medal is won after 56 years.
