During the trip to Lausanne, Switzerland, Dr. Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri and Dr. Seyed Hamid Sajjadi, NOC President and Sports Minister held a meeting with Tomas Bach, the IOC President.

Amiri highlighted about the importance of this meeting for Iranian sports: “The
meeting of Mr. Dr. Sajjadi, the Honorable Minister of Sports and Youth, and
myself with Mr. Thomas Bach, the President of the International Olympic
Committee and his deputies, was very constructive and we discussed three main
axes and exchanged views”.
“As the first axis, we had
mentioned that the National Olympic Committee of Iran had extensive activities
in the frame of the Olympic Charter in recent years, especially during the difficult
times of pandemic, and by winning the largest quota in the Olympic periods in
Tokyo 2020, it somehow managed to secure its place for Paris 2024 which should
be fundamentally improved, and in this regard, a report on the activities of
the country's sports and the National Olympic Committee in the last two years
was presented, which was noticed by Mr. Bach” added the NOC President. It is
highlighted that the IOC President, Tomas Bach expressed satisfaction with the
activities within Iranian sports and also the mutual understanding, cooperation
and positive relation were all emphasized.
