Dr. Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, the NOC President and Dr. Seyed Hamid Sajjadi, Minister of Sports and Youth held meeting with IOC high-ranking officials.
Iran NOC; Tehran: During the trip
in order to meet with IOC President, Tomas Bach, NOC President and Sports
Minister held talks to Jerome Poivey, Director of IOC International Relations. Positive
bilateral discussions were held and necessary arrangements were made to follow
up on the issues of the national federations of our country. In this meeting,
Dr. Salehi Amiri, while setting the target of our country for maximum
preparation in order to get more quota in the Paris Olympics, presented a
report on the preparation of national federations to participate in the Islamic
Solidarity Games and the Hangzhou Asian Games, as well as trying to get a quota
for the Paris Olympic Games.
While expressing his satisfaction
with this meeting, Jerome, Director of International Relations of the
International Olympic Committee, said that in recent years, there has been a
good interaction between the National Olympic Committee and the IOC managers,
and this has led to a good cooperation with Iran in sports. Poivey Highlighted
that the IOC would continue to cooperate with Iranian national federations.
Also, in this meeting, there were
discussions about the bilateral interaction between the International Olympic
Committee and the National Olympic Committee and the tripartite interaction
between the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee, the
International Olympic Committee and the sports federations of Iran.
