Members of the NOC Athletes’ Commission were elected and announced.
Iran NOC; Tehran: At the end of the second election of the
Athletes' Commission of the National Olympic Committee, which was held from 9
am, November 12, to 4 pm, 132 votes were cast and fifteen athletes were elected
as members of the Athletes' Commission after complying with the Athletes'
Commission regulations. After counting the votes, Sajjad Ganjzadeh with 88
votes, Hassan Yazdani with 79 votes, Zabihollah Poursheib with 71 votes, Ehsan
Haddadi with 67 votes, Behdad Salimi with 63 votes, Amin Budaghi with 61 votes,
Shahrbanou Mansourian with 60 votes, Mojtaba Abedini with 59 votes, , Farzaneh
Fassihi with 57 votes, Hamideh Abbasali with 51 votes, Mostafa Nodehi with 49
votes, Mohammad Reza Garai with 46 votes, Najmeh Khedmati with 41 votes,
Hossein Saveh Shemshaki with 41 votes were elected as 15 members of the
National Olympic Committee Athletes Commission. It should be noted that
according to Article 4, Clause 2 of the Athletes' Commission Regulations, a
maximum of three athletes from each sports federation whose athletes have won
medals in at least one of the last three summer or winter Olympic Games can be
members of the commission. Other Olympic and non-Olympic sports federations can
only have one member.
