The final of the Asian Snooker Championship was held and Amir Sarkhosh became the 2nd runner-up in Asia and won the silver medal.
Iran NOC; Tehran: The final stage of the Asian Snooker Championship
was held between Amir Sarkhosh and world champion Pankaj Adwani from India,
during which Sarkhosh conceded to a 6-3 defeat and became the runner-up in
Asia. According to the organizing committee, the tournament winner will receive
a cash prize of 7,000 UDS with the runner-up and third place finishers each
receiving 3,500 and 2250 USD respectively. The 36th Asian Individual Fifteen
Ball Snooker Championships was held from September 21 to 25 with athletes from
Afghanistan, Bahrain, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon,
Mongolia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia where our country
participated with two players.
