The NOc Legal Commission held its 31st meeting.
Iran NOC; Tehran: Dr. Amir Saed Vakil, Secretary of the
Legal Commission of the National Olympic Committee highlighted the important
issues and approvals of meeting which was held with the presence of all
members. He said: “It is necessary to establish Iranian Sports Arbitration
Centre as soon as possible with the help of the National Olympic Committee as
the statue and regulations are under provision”.
The draft regulations of the Council for the Protection of
Athletes, which is responsible for protecting athletes against abuse and
harassment in sports, were also reviewed.
It was further decided to conduct a preliminary study on
specialized sports law positions in the judicial authorities of international
federations and other international institutions, and to define a policy and
implement programs in order to strengthen the presence of Iranian lawyers in
the field of legal and judicial systems.
