In line with new updates received from the NOC, Commissions managed to hold their meetings.
Iran NOC; Tehran: Medical,
Marketing & Financial and Psychology Commissions summoned their members in
order to discuss the current issues and decide on further steps.
The Medical Commission
covered: Prevention of sports injuries, promotion of athletes' health,
prevention of doping, cardiovascular health and nutrition of athletes should be
given the necessary training, preparing and publishing educational pamphlets on
the subject of sports medicine for coaches and athletes, coordinating with NADO
to prepare educational programs including educational software for doping
control and prevention, compiling protocols and monitoring the medical records
of athletes sent to the 2020 Olympics while carrying out a joint research and
training project with the Medical Commission of the National Paralympic
Committee and introducing nutrition consultancy to the Olympic NFs to promote
the culture.
The Marketing &
Financial Commission reviewed revenue strategies to attract sponsors in order
to implement the programs of the National Olympic Committee and supporting Iranian
delegation to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which will be held next year.
The Psychology
Commission went over the program of the Sports Psychology Commission until the
end of next year emphasizing on the expansion of virtual services to athletes
and coaches. It was also suggested to make psychological training videos for
coaches and athletes and to prepare educational podcasts for public use and to
hold appropriate webinars for discussion.
