The 70th meeting of the Executive Board of the National Olympic Committee was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. Salehi Amiri, the NOC President and in the presence of members in compliance with health protocols.
Iran NOC; Tehran: at
the beginning of the meeting, the latest trends in the training camp conditions
of different Olympic disciplines were examined, considering the climatic
conditions of Tokyo and the necessity of holding biological adaptation for
athletes with the conditions of the Olympic host city.
Through the visit made
to the sports, training and facilities of Bushehr Islamic Azad University,
which was carried out by the NOC Secretary General and the Head of Physical
Education of Islamic Azad University; it was confirmed that the existence of
suitable capacities and conditions in this city which is similar to Tokyo, NFs can
hold part of the training camps of the national teams sent to the 2020 Olympic
Games in this city, in accordance with the health protocols. Also, the request
of the officials of the National Olympic Academy and some sports federations
regarding the poor condition of their specialized sports equipment was examined
in order to improve the conditions of athletes' preparation for a valuable
presence in the 2020 Olympic Games and to supply and distribute the equipment
as needed.
At the end, the
proposed organizational chart of the National Olympic Committee was discussed.
After the final summary, its generalities were approved and it was decided that
the detailed proposals would be presented and finalized in the Executive Board
before the General Assembly.
