FIBA, the International Governing Body for Basketball officially appreciated the efforts of the Iranian National Federation in holding and organizing the FIBA U-17 Skill Challenge.
Iran NOC; Tehran: Through
an official letter addressing the NF’s President, FIBA has highlighted participation
and the high potential of Iranian basketball in an event titled “FIBA U17 Skill
Challenge 2020 Asian Qualifiers”. Darning the first round of the event, Iranian
National boys and girls U-17 teams managed to step forward by topping the table
and scoring their best. Accordingly, FIBA sent an appreciation letter signed by
the President and Secretary-General to mark the effort put in to the job.
The letter as reflected
on the NF’s website reads as follows:
“Dear President
Allow us to sincerely
congratulate your National Federation for taking part in the FIBA U17 Skills
Challenge 2020 Asian Qualifiers for Men and Women. Your Federation showed a
high level of organization and capability in adjusting to the requirements of this
new Competition. Your participation serves as an example of resilience in these
difficult times under the COVID19 pandemic and signals the gradual Return to
Basketball.
We would like to
personally thank you, your staff and your players for the close cooperation in
this regard.
