The ceremony of honoring the champions, medalists and those involved in the international student sports events in 2019 was attended by NOC President, Dr. Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, Minister of Science, and a group of medalists from the 30th Universiade in Naples, Italy.
Iran NOC; Tehran: at the
beginning of the ceremony, Mohammad Hossein Alizadeh, Deputy Minister of
Science and Head of the Student Affairs Organization stated: “We are witnessing
the celebration of the medal-winning students in the Universiade competitions.
The repetition of the ninth place in the Universiade shows the sustainable
development in the Ministry of Science and its continuation makes our presence
stable”.
He emphasized: In the 30th
Universiade, we took various positions Taekwondo, Shooting and Archery at the
Universiade, and Iran won the title of the “Best Athlete” in the world.
Alizadeh added: “I thank the
Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee supported in sending the
Iranian delegation to the event. This success would not have been possible
without national cooperation, and I hope that the support will continue”.
It is highlighted that
Universiade champions and medalists were also commended by the officials.
