Iran’s gymnastics family has reached to 270,000 members.
Iran NOC, Tehran: “The statistical population of Iran’s
gymnastics has reached to 270,000” President of Iran’s Gymnastics Federation
Zahra Inche Dargahi told the Ministry of Sport and Youth’s website.
She added: “Fortunately, we are very close to our goals to
generalizing gymnastics, and increase of 100,000 members to the country’s
gymnastics family confirms this.”
“To achieve this statistical population, a lot of efforts
have been made by my colleagues in Iran’s Gymnastics Federation and provincial
associations, thus I have to appreciate all of them,” said Inche Dargahi.
President of Iran’s Gymnastics Federation told: “Gymnastics
is considered the mother of all sports, so I hope officials pay more attention
to this sport in our country. What happened in recent years showed gymnastics
can be successful both in public and in championships level.”
