Iran athletes earn 4 medals in Australia Life Saving World Champs
Iranian five-member squad snatched four medals in the Lifesaving World Championships (LWC2018) which is underway in Adelaide, Australia.

Soheil Ashtiani ranked first and received a gold medal in the 200-meter steeplechase field.

Iranian lifesaving teams also grabbed a gold medal in the 4*50 field.

The Lifesaving World Championships, held every two years, is the largest lifesaving event in the world and with the addition of the World Youth Championships to the program, LWC 2018 is set to be the largest lifesaving event ever held. 6,000 athletes from around the world are expected to compete with an additional 1,000 officials and volunteers assisting the event.

Hamid Ghodsi-Nejad also bagged a silver medal in lifesaving field.

In a tough competition, Iranian athlete Mohammad Nazeri grabbed a bronze medal.
