Minister of Sports and Youth Masoud Soltanifar said on Saturday that Iran will revive women sports in the Islamic states.
He said the Ministry has wide international communications with other countries and world sports communities as well as responsible organizations in the field of sport and youth.
Soltanifar pointed to recent meeting of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan Republic, and said that Iran had been accepted as one of five members of ministerial council of OIC.
Concerning support for women sports in the Islamic states, Soltanifar stressed that Iran is pioneer in this field.
He said that after Iran's success in approving presence of Iranian basketball women team by Islamic code of dressing in global arena; we could prepare ground for presence of Muslim women in triathlon as well.
