Iran finished in seventh place in the FIBA U-16 Asia Championship on Sunday.
The Iranian basketball team defeated Lebanon 95-82 in Foshan, China and came seventh.
Iran started the competition in Group C on a high note, defeating Macau (148-45) and Chinese Taipei (93-84) but failed to qualify for the FIBA U-17 Basketball World Cup after losing to New Zealand 69-73 on Friday.
The Iranian team also lost to South Korea 84-90 in 5-8 classification.
China, Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines qualified for the FIBA U-17 Basketball World Cup in Argentina as the top four teams.
The tournament is being held in Foshan, China from 2 to 8 April 2018.
