The 45th NOC Elective General Assembly was organized on 15th January 2018 in the Conference Hall of National Olympic Academy Premises.
According to the NOC Public Relations, the NOC General Assembly was chaired by Mr. Kiumars Hashemi, to elect NOC President, Vice Presidents, Secretary General, Treasurer and Executive Board Members for the tenure of office 2018-2022.
While welcoming the GA members, the NOC President first expressed hope that an ever-increasing sport development trend in Iran could be maintained in line with the Olympic spirit and ideals relying the inherent potential of both men and women athletes.
he NOC Secretary General, Mr. Shahrokh Shahnazi then provided the GA members with a comprehensive report of activities within past four years.
In the next step, the NOC election with 29 candidates for different positions commenced in the presence of about 85 reporters and photographers in a competitive procedure at the beginning of which Dr. Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri was elected as NOC President for the next four years.
The NOC Secretary General Mr. Shahrokh Shahnazi was reinstated in his position for another four-year period.
Mrs. Tahereh Taherian and Dr. Fazlollah Bagherzadeh were elected as NOC Vice Presidents. Mr. Keykavoos Saeidi was elected as NOC Treasurer and the followings were elected as NOC Executive Board Members:

-Mr. Majid Keyhani Athletics Federation President
-Mr. Gholamali Mohammad Alipoor Sports Associations Federation President
-Mr. Sayyed Abdi Eftekhari Skiing Federation President
-Mr. Ali Dadgar Shooting Federation President
-Mr. Majid Shayesteh Tennis Federation President
-Mr. Hadi Saei Athletes Commission Representative*
*The Olympic and World Champion, Mr. Hadi Saei ,who has been nominated to the General Assembly by the NOC Athletes Commission, was elected as NOC Executive Board Member with a majority votes of the members.
