Iranian teenage Taekwondoka Amir Mohammad Bakhshi in the weight category of – 63kg snatched a gold medal at 2016 WTF World Taekwondo Junior Championships held in Burnaby, Canada
According to the Taekwondo Federation, the event kicked off on November 16 with attendance of some 800 athletes from 110 countries.
Bakhshi defeated rivals from Latvia, Belgium, and South Korea.
In the semi-final match, Bakhshi outpowered his Turkish rival 11-8 and in the final hit Russia taekwondoka 4-0 and stood in the first place.
The event will be underway until November 20 in Canada.
