President Hassan Rouhani in a message on Saturday, congratulated Iranian athletes on their achievements in the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea
In his message, Rouhani thanked efforts made by Iranian athletes, their coaches and sports managers.
The President said that winning the highest number of gold medals, in the history of Iran's presence in the Asian Games, was an outcome of coordination between the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the National Olympics Committee.
Rouhani also hailed the "successful" and "historical" presence of Iranian female athletes in the competitions who contributed to a great extent to the shining of Iranian squad in this edition of Asian Games.
